Helen Sweatman

Advisory Associate

Helen is an art advisor based in Melbourne, Australia. She is also a sessional lecturer in the School of Culture and Communication, Faculty of Arts at The University of Melbourne, where she lectures at postgraduate level on cultural economics.

Helen has extensive experience providing art advisory services in both the Australian and International art markets. She co-founded the commercial contemporary art gallery, Fort Delta (Melbourne) - successfully building up a roster of artists and collectors with her business partner, James Bowen. In 2015, she moved to New York to complete a Master of Art Business at Sotheby’s Institute of Art and then went on to become the Director of Sales and Logistics at the New York art consulting firm, DinaburgArts LLC. In this role, she primarily dealt blue-chip artwork to private collectors, and also worked on a number of special projects with corporate partners. While working at DinaburgArts LLC, Helen helped establish Art Legacy Planning LLC (New York), which has quickly grown to be a leading manager of artists’ estates in the US.
